I use SPARK as a practical design lens for AI-powered products. It helps keep the work grounded when the technology feels impressive but the human experience is still uncertain.

Support, do not solve

AI should help people move forward, but the product still needs clear choices, context and ways to make decisions without surrendering judgment.

Protect the person

People need to know what the system can do, what it cannot do and where risk may appear. Protection shows up in labels, confirmation, error handling, privacy choices and honest boundaries.

Accessibility from the start

Accessible AI is not a late interface pass. It affects language, input methods, feedback, navigation, reading load, review patterns and whether people with different abilities can use the product with confidence.

Reduce cognitive load

AI products can easily produce too much: too many suggestions, too many paths, too much uncertainty. Product design requires the discipline of deciding what should be visible now and what can wait.

Keep it human

Preserve user agency, make handoffs to people possible and define where human judgment is required.
